FDA for medical devices

The whole FDA compliance.
The quality system and the cybersecurity, end to end.

The only platform you need to get a device cleared. We build the ISO 13485 quality system and the section 524B cybersecurity with you, run the pentest ourselves, and introduce you to accredited labs for everything else.

From $3,750/mo, the quality system included. See what is in it ›

Your deviceSoftware, or connected hardware. FDAISO ClearedBy the FDA. ISO 13485 certified by a registrar.

One subscription, not six vendors

Everything the FDA asks of you. End to end.

An eQMS licence, a quality consultant, a device-security consultant, a pentest firm and an SBOM tool, replaced by one strand. The only fees that leave it are the ones that have to stay independent.

Quality system

ISO 13485, which the QMSR rule made US law, built with you: procedures, design history file, risk file, CAPA, suppliers, training.

$3,750 / mo. Everything, end to end.One device, heading to its first submission. eQMS platform and a quality consultant
Cybersecurity

The section 524B package, from your diagram and your firmware: threat model, architecture views, controls, labeling, traceability.

Included. Not a separate project. Device-security consultant, per submission
Pentest

Our own engine attacks your app, cloud and APIs on every release, and the report goes into the package.

Included. Every release.Wireless and hardware tests, for connected hardware, at a partner lab. Pentest firm, $15,000 to $90,000
The FDA and the labs

The FDA clears the device. Accredited labs run the safety, EMC and biocompatibility tests, and a registrar certifies ISO 13485. We introduce you to all of them and take no share.

$6,100 FDA user fee, $8,000 registrar, once.Estimates, paid directly to them. Each lab quotes its own tests. Check the pricing calculator ›
After launch

The SBOM is matched against CVE and known-exploited feeds daily, for the life of the device, and your Trust Center carries the MDS2 and SBOM.

Included. For as long as you sell it. SBOM and vulnerability tooling
A first year for one software device is about $66,100 all in, including the FDA's user fee. Price your device›

Lab testing

We connect you with the right labs.

We introduce you to accredited labs, plan the testing with you, and add every report to your submission. Lab fees are extra and billed by the lab.

  • Electrical safety and EMC IEC 60601, for anything powered.
  • Biocompatibility ISO 10993, for anything that touches the patient.
  • Usability IEC 62366 human factors testing.
  • Wireless Coexistence and RF testing, for connected hardware.
  • Performance data Bench testing, and clinical studies when your device needs them.
  • The 510(k) case The predicate device and the substantial equivalence argument, with a regulatory expert.

What it costs

One price for all of it.

Frequently asked

Questions.

01Is this the full ISO 13485, or only part of it?

The full quality system: procedures, design history file, risk file, CAPA, supplier controls and training records, built with you and kept current. The QMSR rule folded ISO 13485 into US law on 2 February 2026, so it is the same work either way. The certification audit itself is done by an accredited registrar, because we can never be your auditor.

02What does section 524B actually require?

For any device with software that can connect to anything, four things: a postmarket plan to monitor vulnerabilities with coordinated disclosure, a process to patch on a regular cycle and ship critical fixes out of cycle, a software bill of materials, and whatever the FDA adds by rule. It has been enforced since October 2023, and the submission carries a cybersecurity section with ten parts that have to agree with each other.

03Is the penetration test included?

Yes, on every release, run by our own engine, with the report going into the package. Firms that sell the test separately usually charge between $15,000 and $90,000 for it. For connected hardware, a partner lab runs the wireless and hardware tests, about $15,000 paid to the lab, and we fold their report into the same package.

04Can I get only the cybersecurity?

Yes. If you already run a quality system in Greenlight Guru, Qualio or another eQMS, keep it: we do the section 524B package and the penetration test, and export a controlled, versioned document package that you file into the system you already have. That is $1,250 a month for one device. Talk to the founders and we will scope it with you.

05Is this everything I need to get my device cleared?

That is the point: one platform and one team. We build the quality system and the cybersecurity with you, run the pentest, and introduce you to the accredited labs and the regulatory expert for the rest. We also walk you through establishment registration, device listing and UDI. The FDA, the labs and the registrar bill you directly.

06What about biocompatibility, electrical safety and the other tests?

We introduce you to accredited labs for whatever your device needs: electrical safety and EMC (IEC 60601), biocompatibility (ISO 10993), usability (IEC 62366), wireless coexistence, and bench or clinical data. We plan the testing with you and add every report to your submission. Lab fees are extra and billed by the lab.

07Who pays the FDA fee, the labs and the certification audit?

You pay them directly. The FDA's user fee goes to the FDA, each lab bills its own tests, and the ISO 13485 audit goes to the accredited registrar. None of it goes through us and we do not take a share, because a fee split would compromise the independence that makes their results worth anything.

08How fast is it?

We start from what you already have, your code, your build and your diagrams, instead of a blank page. How long the whole submission takes depends on your device, which tests it needs, how complete your records are and how fast the FDA reviews it. We will give you a straight answer on the call.
